Description

We are looking for a dependable and committed Cleaner to join our engineering team, playing a key role in maintaining the exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation across our modern fleet of single- and double-deck vehicles and supporting facilities.

This is a practical, hands-on role for someone who takes pride in delivering high standards, has good attention to detail and understands the importance of safe and efficient working practices. You will work as part of a supportive team, ensuring our vehicles and facilities are maintained to a high standard for our customers, colleagues and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

As an Evening Cleaner, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of internal and external cleaning duties across our fleet and facilities. You will ensure vehicles are cleaned thoroughly, safely and efficiently in line with company standards, procedures and cleaning schedules.

Your responsibilities will include:

Completing detailed internal and external cleaning of buses and associated facilities.
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and hygiene across the fleet.
Safely using cleaning materials, chemicals and equipment in line with training and procedures.
Completing cleaning tasks within agreed timescales and to the required quality standards.
Identifying and reporting defects, damage, graffiti or other issues found during cleaning activities.
Maintaining clean, tidy and safe working areas, including the correct storage of equipment and materials.
Completing work records accurately and supporting a professional engineering environment.
Working collaboratively with supervisors and colleagues to meet operational requirements.
Undertaking training and additional duties appropriate to the role when required.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

About You

You will ideally have previous cleaning experience and take pride in delivering a high-quality service. Experience in a commercial, industrial, transport or large vehicle cleaning environment would be an advantage, although full training and support will be provided for the right candidate.

Has experience of cleaning and maintaining high standards of presentation.
Understands the importance of safe working practices, including the correct use of chemicals and equipment.
Has good attention to detail and takes personal responsibility for the quality of their work.
Can work independently and as part of a team.
Is reliable, organised and able to complete tasks efficiently.
Has a flexible approach and is willing to support the wider team when required.
Is willing to undertake any training needed to carry out the role safely and effectively.

Desirable Experience

Experience of the following would be beneficial:

Cleaning large vehicles such as buses, coaches, commercial vehicles or similar assets.
Working within an engineering, maintenance, transport or operational environment.
Using industrial cleaning equipment and processes.
A driving licence would be desirable but is not essential.
